A Dance with the Devil (D W/ D: Rem X Reader)

This is the first in the Dance with Devils trilogy, starting first is the Student Council President... Rem Kaginuki.

So in this story, Ristuka doesn't really exist, and instead YOU are the one these fine devils are in love with.


You hurried into the school building and tried your best to catch your breath, you caught up with Azuna and finally you were able to get a good breath in.

"My gosh... when will you stop running so late?" she asked you.

"I was...just... finishing my studies, I was up late doing it, I fell asleep on my desk and didn't get it done" she drew out a long sigh.

"You really are a mess (Y/n)..."

"I know... I'm sorry" you went to your classes and turned in your homework, you kept waiting and waiting for the day to end, so you could finally see him, you missed your dear Rem, Azuna wasn't too crazy on you being with him, knowing full well he's a devil, but you didn't care, something clicked and you two fell in love, you've  been together now for almost a month, the other members of the student council don't like your presence because they're still mad you chose him instead of one of them.

You walked up the long winding stairs and entered the student council room, you saw what you see everyday, Mage was flexing his muscles, Urie was quoting some Shakespearian lines, Shiki was torturing Lowen the dog, and then, there he was, you sweet devil Rem, he was sitting at his desk, but his attention was all drawn to you when he saw your face.

"Oh look, its Rem's girlfriend..." Urie sighed.

"Nah, she should be called the traitor" Mage followed.

"Alright that is enough...from both of you" Rem snapped.

"You guys are all just jealous that Rem got the girl..."

"Thank you Shiki" You nodded your head his way.

"Still what would it have been like had the little butterfly chosen me?" Urie took your face into his hand and was quickly drawn away by Rem.

"Don't lay a hand on her Urie...that is an order"

"Yes sir..." everyone cleared the room and finally you and Rem could share a sweet kiss with each other, you never got tired of his kiss, it was the one thing in school you looked forward to.

After that you sat down and the guys returned to their original seats.

Rem has been obsessing over the vampire attacks lately, you couldn't help but be a little worried too, however you kept telling Rem that he would catch them and not to worry so much, but he didn't listen.

"still worried about those vampires?" you asked.

"You can tell?"

"Of course I can..." you smiled and took his hand, he gave it a light kiss making all the guys groan in disgust.

"you did that on purpose didn't you?" you giggled.

"Maybe slightly" you laughed and he saw another victim was attacked, making him very frustrated.

"It's okay Rem..."

"It isn't okay, not at all... I'm going to go check it out, if I hurry, I might be able to catch one of them" he rises from his desk, you grab his hand in protest.

"Rem what if something happens to you?"

"I'll be fine (Y/n)" he said pulling his hand out of your grip.

"fine.. then I'm coming too" you followed behind him.

"No way, if anything happens to you, I'd never forgive myself"

"That's really sweet, but I wasn't asking for permission"

"Look..." you cut him off,

"Rem, you said if you hurry you might catch them, this isn't hurrying, so lets go" he took a sigh and nodded, he knew he could win any battle, but against a woman he loves, there was no winning.

You sat in the car with him, playing with your fingers, you always did this when you were nervous.

"Are you nervous?" he asked you.

"A little, can you tell?" He nods his head and you look out the window.

"You don't have to go, I can take you back right now..."

"And watch you get hurt, no way" he drew a long sigh,

"Fine, then come here" You stepped over and sat in the seat next to him, he pulled you closer to him, holding you so gently.

"Rem?"

"Just stay like this, just for a little" you closed your eyes with a smile, and soon the car pulled up to the spot.

Rem got out and helped you out of the car, you two looked up at a big run down old house, it looked haunted, but you knew you had to go in.
Rem took your hand and stepped inside the house, the creaking floor made you fear the boards would snap and you would fall through, but you had Rem's hand so you felt safe.
"Be careful okay (Y/n)...this floor is really weak, and could break at any second.

" AHHHHH!!!!" You heard screaming coming from upstairs, you and Rem ran up them and saw a girl laying on the floor, with a vampire standing over her.

"Get away from her!" Rem snapped.

" I'm afraid you're too late, she's already mine! he hissed.

You stood behind Rem, your trembling hands sat on his shoulder.

"Now what is that... delicious smell?" His eyes daggered yours and you could feel Rem burning with rage.

"She's not for you!" Rem's fists clutch together as he sends his blue flames toward the vampire, he dodges the blow and circles behind you.

"Mine now" he chuckles and pulls you away, your fingers slip away from Rem's, and all you can hear is him calling your name.



You broke away and took off trying to find Rem, but he grabbed your ankle and jerked it back, causing you to hit the cold hard floor.

"Don't try and escape, I promise you won't feel anything" His hand slithered up your leg and grabbed your throat, slamming you against the wall.

" You're going to taste soooo good!" He giggled, you closed your eyes and said your final words.

"Rem I love you..." You whispered.

You felt the vampire being pulled away from you and saw Rem, with a fire burning in his eyes.

"You think you can claim whoever you want?...fine, but touch my girl, and you'll regret it, now...burn" he left the vampire in a pile of ashes on the floor and ran up to you, throwing your arms around him, you laid your head on his chest breathing in a sigh of relief.

"Thank you goodness...I thought I lost you" He whispered as he held you in his arms.

Rem took you home and you asked him if he would stay with you, you were scared to be alone, and just wanted him to be with you, he agreed of course and held you in his arms as you slept.

"Rem..."

"Yes?"

"I love you..." you closed your eyes and felt him kiss your head.

"I love you too, very much"
